    2. You must earn two credits per year until you reach 25 credits to become a Life Spike.

    CMBA Builders Continuing
    Education is a SNAP

    Three classes to choose from
    snap 

    The following classes will be offered by CMBA for builders’ continuing education.  

    The courses are approved by the MN Department of Labor and Industry to satisfy continuing education for builders, roofers and remodeling. MN licensed contractors are required to obtain 14 hours of approved continuing education every 2 years.

    Each 7 hour course contains energy to satisfy the one hour energy code requirement.

    First person registered includes lunch.

    Members will add $12 for lunch when registering more than one person.

    Building Blocks, 2019 Code Essentials, Alternate Means & Methods

    An administrative overview of when/ where the State Building Code applies. Another is Building Planning, a critical part due to its nature of setting the many parameters for residential projects. Additionally, exiting, window fall protection, stairs, emergency escape and rescue are included with the various topics.

    As new building materials and methods emerge constantly, we must understand the process of approving Alternate Means and Methods. Participants will learn how to verify materials that meet the intent, but are not specifically addressed, by the State Building Code and the process to gain approval of local Building Departments.
